Artur Queiroz

Dr. Queiroz’s research interests explore HIV prevention for men who have sex with men, with a focus on how chemsex (sexualized substance use) affects HIV prevention and sexual health in the LGBTQ+ population.

Umed Ibragimov

Dr. Ibragimov’s research interests include HIV, substance use, implementation science, and stigma as a barrier to services. He also studies the impact of structural determinants of health on HIV and substance use-related issues.

Angie Cherry

Ms. Cherry’s research interest is working in the simulation lab educating future nurses in gaining hands-on experience in a controlled environment that mimics real-life medical scenarios, helping them develop critical skills and confidence in patient care.

Carrie Danielson

Dr. Danielson’s research interests lie at the intersections of community music, care ethics, and applied ethnomusicology and public folklore. Specifically, she specializes in music and childhood, music and migration, and Scandinavian Studies.

Mauricio Pena

Mr. Pena’s research interests are nonprofit management, arts and public policy, arts advocacy, cultural diplomacy, institutional development, marketing, and strategic management for nonprofits.

McKenna Stenson

Dr. Stenson’s main research area is to amplify women’s voices on the podium by interviewing mentors, teachers, and conductors in the music world while exploring the gender divide. (https://www.conducther.com) 

Devan Moore

Dr. Moore's research interests are inspired by my teaching experiences and the lived experiences of black female band directors. I want to ensure that future female music educators see themselves in the profession they are entering. I am committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the profession.
