As the Director of Student Teaching & Internship Experiences, my role is to collaborate with our programs to ensure the quality of practicum and internship placements for our future educators. These experiences provide students with hands-on experience, fostering professional confidence and preparing them to meet licensure requirements and excel in their future careers. Under the guidance of experienced mentor teachers across the state of Florida, these placements play a crucial role in developing the competencies and confidence necessary for success in today’s classrooms. As a former classroom teacher and graduate of FSU’s Elementary Education program, I have witnessed firsthand the significance of these placements in shaping the future of education.
