Faculty Recognition
The Office of Faculty Development and Advancement facilitates Florida State University’s extraordinary faculty members in their nomination and application for national and international recognition. It does this by providing information about honorific awards in all disciplines, by supporting faculty members in award nomination and application processes, and by helping to promote individual faculty accomplishments through its programs.
FSU offers a robust support system for career development that leads to recognition. Through collaborative partnerships between Office of Development and Advancement, Office of Research, Institutional Research, and College Deans, we access internal and external data about professional accomplishments, promote those accomplishments via media, reporting, and events, and provide personnel to plan and facilitate the processes that make recognition happen.

Center for the Advancement of Teaching
The Center for the Advancement of Teaching seeks to recognize and cultivate learner-centered teaching throughout the university by providing support to faculty as they balance cutting-edge research with thoughtful teaching.
FSU Faculty Connections
A comprehensive mentoring network designed to support individual faculty members who identify as being of color, Connections mentors full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty by identifying and challenging historical, institutional, and industry bias and oversight.
FSU Faculty Fellows
Three fellowships are offered by the Office of Faculty Development and Advancement and three fellowships are offered by the Office of Research. Fellows will work closely with the leaders of these offices on initiatives that focus on Goals II (Increasing Academic and Research Excellence) and III (Diversity and Inclusion) of the University’s Strategic Plan.

The FSU Faculty Leadership Development Program (LDP) is designed to offer leadership training to faculty across the university and at different stages of their professional journeys.
