The Florida State University community celebrated its faculty members who have gone through the rigors of having a book, score or CD published in 2017 during FSU Authors Day.
Tiffany Phillips is the IT Support Specialist for the Office of Faculty Recognition (OFR), assisting Dr. Margaret (Peggy) Wright-Cleveland, Director of OFR, with nominating faculty for awards, publicizing faculty honors, and facilitating the tracking of award verifications and reporting to the Board of Governors and other administrative bodies. She assists the Director of OFR with event planning, such as FSU Authors Day, ACC Road Scholars, and Faculty Writing Retreats.
Ms. Phillips supports both faculty and staff using the Faculty Expertise and Advancement System (FEAS), which is the database used for faculty promotion and tenure. She offers training sessions and workshops to highlight the features of FEAS.
In addition, Ms. Phillips assists faculty with using the Faculty Award Catalog (FAC), a database of over 6,000 awards for which faculty may be nominated. She researches award information and adds faculty award winner information, which is used to highlight faculty achievements on the Faculty Awards Page.
Ms. Phillips also supports the Extraordinary Accomplishments Program, an ongoing incentive program which recognizes FSU faculty achievements and encourages research development. It honors all awards designated by the National Research Council (NRC) as Prestigious and Highly Prestigious. Additionally, Ms. Phillips assists faculty with petitioning for the inclusion of additional awards through the Extraordinary Accomplishments Online Petition Submission System (OPSS).
