Dr. Torres-Aponte's research interests are maternal health in underserved populations and Brain-Gut interaction and Adverse Childhood Experiences. Her teaching interests are teaching medical students about integrated behavioral health services and training postdoctoral fellows in health psychology with a concentration in primary care.
