Dr. Wooten’s areas of interest include human anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, and microbiology. While her previous research concentrated on cancer biology and chemotherapeutics, she now primarily focuses on teaching.

Dr. Wilson’s teaching and research interests include trauma and trauma-informed practices, supporting K-12 students with disabilities, and mental health challenges in the K-12 school setting.
