My interests are in risk and resilience in Black college students and Black emerging adults; substance use and misuse; substance use disorders; ecological momentary assessment; and digital health; intervention research.
Dr. Izci's research interests include caregiver-child interactions, children's technology and media use, undergraduate student success, and faculty development.
Dr. Samples’s research interest are exploring instructional practice and curriculum development in higher education programs.
Dr. Farinella serves in a 100% administrative capacity and really enjoys the opportunity to support fellow faculty members, graduate teaching assistants, adjuncts, and students in the College of Social Work. She appreciates opportunities to better understand university and college policies and ensure appropriate procedures align to best serve the individuals involved in any process.
