My research focuses on preventing cardio-metabolic risk factors and health disparities in Black communities and populations with high comorbidities. As a principal investigator, I have developed and led educational interventions in collaboration with healthcare facilities and community organizations. 

My interests include medical student and graduate medical education.

My teaching interest is in working with medical students to teach clinical skills.

I am passionate about creating an optimal learning environment for trainees, mentoring residents and faculty, and pursuing innovative approaches to resident education.

My interests are in rural health, health services and health outcomes research.
