Prospective Faculty

Florida State University values its faculty and works to provide the most effective and comprehensive career development possible. The Office of Research Development, the Center for the Advancement of Teaching, and the Office of Faculty Development and Advancement all play a role in successful career development. It is expected that throughout each stage of career, faculty will continue to develop their teaching skills and their research skills. In the middle and later stages of career, faculty will develop and expand their leadership skills. All professionals on campus are expected to continually learn, improve, and support actions and language that enhance equity, respect diversity, and build structures and attitudes of inclusion among colleagues, leadership, and students.
