Professional Development Leave

Professional development leave is granted to increase an employee's value to the university through opportunities for professional development, research, writing, or other forms of creative activity. Applicants are eligible if they are specialized faculty covered by the BOT/FSU UFF Collective Bargaining Agreement and have three or more years of service. Completed applications are due on Monday, November 13, 2023.

Sabbatical Leave

The University Committee on Faculty Sabbaticals will invite applications for one-semester sabbaticals at full pay and two-semester sabbaticals at one-half pay for the academic year 2025/2026. Please note that there may be earlier deadlines at the department and/or college level. All applications must be submitted by the dean's office by email or FSU Dropbox. Please contact Melissa Crawford if you have questions.

Applications will be due electronically to Melissa Crawford in the Office of Faculty Development and Advancement on Friday, Septemer 27, 2024 for sabbatical leave in the 2025-2026 academic year. Please note that there may be earlier deadlines at the department or college level.
