Professor Emeritus T. N. Krishnamurti, professor of Meteorology, has been awarded the Sir Gilbert Walker Gold Medal by the Indian Meteorological Society. According to Department Chair of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Science, Lynn Dudley, "The Medal recognizes his groundbreaking contributions to monsoon, cyclone, weather and climate modeling as well as other lifetime contributions to his science."
