Nancy Everhart, professor of Communication and Information, has been awarded a Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst/German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Research Stay for University Academics and Scientists. 

Dr. Margaret (Peggy) Wright-Cleveland, director of the Office of Faculty Recognition, will be serving a Fulbright Scholar award to Côte d'Ivoire from August 23, 2015 through July 1, 2016. She will be blogging about her experiences at http://mwcfulbright.tumblr.com.

The series is open to the public, and takes place at the Presbyterian University Center, 548 W. Park Ave. Parking is available in the lot on the north side of the Presbyterian University Center.

Luncheons begin at 12:15, and the programs follow at 12:45, concluding at 1:30. Lunches are $10 per session, and reservations are required.

All reservations must be made by noon of the Thursday before each luncheon. Please mail reservation requests to the Presbyterian University Center, 548 W. Thomas E. Albrecht-Schmitt, Gregory R. Choppin Professor of Chemistry, has been named a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Yaacov Petscher, Associate Director of the Florida Center for Reading Research, has won the Educational Researcher of the Year Award (Florida Educational Research Association) and the Dina Feitelson Research Award (International Literacy Association).

According to the International Literacy Association's website, the Dina Feitelson Research Award was established to honor the memory of Dina Feitelson for a current literature published worldwide focusing on reading and related disciplines to recognize an outstanding empirical study, published in English in a refereed journal.

Katherine Mooney, assistant professor of History, has won the North American Society for Sports History (NASSH) book award for Race Horse Men: How Slavery and Freedom Were Made at the Racetrack.
